So, why is the superbowl such a big deal? I was thinking about it today, and I realized that next month, noone will care. Next year, we'll all be asking who played this year. I was over at my uncle's house, watching the game, and I was thinking 'Why am I sitting here, when I could be doing much better things? Like sleeping.....' But then again, what does matter? If we a resuccesful in our buisiness, we retire happy. Big whoop. If we are great leaders, we are remembered for a short time, or if we are lucky, a few decades.
I mean, you never hear of anyone talking about people like Franklin Graham, or Benny Hinn, or Greg Laurie. I mean ten years from now, the only people who will likely remember them is those who they saved. So, how do we make a real differance? If you get the answer, let me know.

that's just downright depressing. I LOVE the superbowl.
ReplyDelete...though you are right about no one caring next year. I watch it because I enjoy fellowshipping with people while watching people kill each other on the field.
and as for your question. *clears throat* the only way we can make a difference is if we PRAY!!!!!
where the real power comes from, is in fellowship with God by talking to Him. that's my answer.

Thanks. For the record, I was EXTREMELY depressed that day. Not suicidal, but I spent the entire day wondering how to make a difference.
ReplyDeleteI hate being depressed.

To be remembered, for sure we don't try to show off. We just follow God wherever He leads, and well that doesn't always make you famous. I guess we just have to remember that only God matters in life.
ReplyDeleteDefinatly true. Like I said, for a change I was depressed.

ReplyDeleteWhat do we really need to be remembered for? The greatest thing that we can do for someone is to lead them to Jesus. And you pointed out yourself that the only people who will rememeber these dudes are the people who became Christians due to a sermon or something that these guys preached. I don't think that there's anything greater than that.
I know. I was depressed that day for some reason.
